SCOPE
Architecture & Interior Design
RR Institutions is a legacy pharmaceutical college in Bengaluru, with a long-standing presence in the city’s educational landscape. The renovated campus builds upon this legacy while introducing a contemporary learning environment.
A generous double-height entrance space welcomes students into the campus, anchored by informal stepped seating that creates a vibrant social and gathering zone. The space acts as both a transition into the institution and an informal interface for interaction, pause, and exchange.
Effort has been made to include a courtyard on each floor. Since this is a high-density building, the design replicates the feel of ground level across every story. These courtyards act as a “third space” for students to meet and collaborate, while also bringing ample natural sunlight and ventilation into the building.
