The Vizag Aurea is a visionary 5-star hotel planned near Rushikonda Beach in Visakhapatnam. Situated atop a hill adjacent to the highway, it has the potential to become a landmark for the city. The entry to the site is 12m wide road through the PM Ekta mall road.

The project is designed considering the view towards the sea on east side. All service and circulation cores have been strategically placed on the west side (on rear side), while the main functional spaces occupy the east side, ensuring abundant natural light and uninterrupted sea views. The design also minimizes the amount of hill excavation required for the building’s profile.

The key design decision and unique selling point (USP) of this project is the panoramic view of the sea. All public spaces and the majority of guest rooms have been oriented to maximize this view.

The hotel comprises two basements, a lower ground floor, an upper ground floor, and six additional floors above. The entrance ramp leads directly to the upper ground floor, which houses public spaces designed to accommodate large gatherings, including restaurants, outdoor areas, and banquet halls.

The lower ground floor contains all human resources and service facilities required for hotel operations. Floors one through five primarily accommodate guest rooms, while the topmost floor (sixth) features public amenities such as a swimming pool deck, pub, restaurant, and wellness and recreation areas. This spatial zoning ensures a clear segregation between public areas and private guest spaces.



To optimize cost without compromising aesthetics, the front elevation has been designed with minimalistic yet visually appealing elements. Public areas feature large-span layouts, minimizing columns to maintain uninterrupted flow. Balconies and breakout spaces on the ground floor are naturally cooled through landscaping. The sixth floor offers extensive outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy sea views and natural breezes.
The basements accommodate car parking and essential service areas, including the pump room and STP. A fire ramp road runs along the site boundaries, fully complying with NBC guidelines and local bye-laws.
